Accessibility
Scrimshaw is a mobile tattoo studio built inside a converted shuttle bus. While I’ve worked to make the studio as comfortable and welcoming as possible, the physical nature of the bus does create some accessibility limitations.
-
The studio is accessed by stairs at the passenger-side entrance and, unfortunately, the bus is not wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair lift or ramp, and the interior aisle and tattooing area may not accommodate some mobility devices.
If you use a cane, walker, or other mobility aid and aren't sure whether the space will work for you, please reach out before booking. I'm happy to talk through the layout and entrance with you so you know what to expect.
-
Because Scrimshaw is a mobile studio, restroom facilities are provided by the host location where the bus is parked. Accessibility and distance from the studio may vary by location.
If accessible restroom facilities are important to you, please contact me before booking and I can provide information about the facilities available at that particular location.
-
Accessibility isn't only about mobility. If there is something that would make your tattoo appointment more comfortable or accessible — including communication, sensory, positioning, or other needs — please let me know.
I'm happy to make reasonable accommodations whenever I can and to talk through what your appointment will look like ahead of time.
-
I want you to have the information you need to decide whether Scrimshaw will work for you. If you have any accessibility questions or concerns, please reach out before booking. I'll be happy to answer them honestly and work with you to find an option whenever possible.
